With the help of a mentor, Aisha learned the ins and outs of online content creation and social marketing which brought her to her position at MentorshipBC.

Belinda is a Trade Advisor at Small Business BC and fellow entrepreneur. She has successfully launched several businesses ranging from selling online to trading internationally, shipping to every continent in the world with the exception of Antarctica.
Having worked in strategic analysis, marketing, and international trade, she utilizes her experience in assisting clients through the process of starting and growing their business at Small Business BC.
Bridget Field is the Client Services Manager at Small Business BC. A graduate of the UBC Sales and Marketing Management Executives Program, she has over 20 years’ experience in retail management, sales and marketing. Bridget shares her expertise with clients at Small Business BC as well as teaching business courses for local community colleges.
Dylan Hrycyshen is a graduate of Simon Fraser University with a BBA degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. With a passionate community focus, and self-described career as a semi-professional volunteer, he’s always lending a hand to projects with social impact. Dylan is the in-house expert on social media for Small Business BC, connecting entrepreneurs with the tools for success in today’s digital world.
Gary has been a part of Small Business BC for over ten years. Currently, as a Business Service Officer, he advises clients on all aspects of business start-up. During the past six years, Gary started, operated and recently sold his own business.
George Hunter is the CEO of Small Business BC. Since joining in 2009 he has lead the organizational transformation of Small Business BC to become a fully developed social enterprise.
As a visionary executive, George has a proven track record as a pioneer and builder of effective private and not-for-profit organizations in both public and private sectors.
Gill is the Content Coordinator at Small Business BC. She has over 15 years experience in writing content for both internal and external audiences. From multi-million dollar global real-estate proposals to internal communications from the CEO, from educational articles to fun and sassy blogs. Through each role she has learnt from the best about the importance of good content marketing and how it can create opportunities for your business.
Heather is a Business Advisor. She’s worked at Small Business BC for 9 years, and specializes in general business advising, corporate registry services, guided registration and industry-specific regulations.
Jayme Canotal is the Client Services Representative at Small Business BC. She is the resident expert on all of the resources offered at Small Business BC, coordinating many of the programs, including the ‘Ask An Expert’ series as well as the daily seminars in the Education Centre. She also advises clients on their business start-ups, providing them with relevant information and directing them to useful resources.
Josh Ludgate is a Business Planning Advisor at Small Business BC. He has a background in leading and building technology and telecom start-ups in Vancouver, as well as international roles with Hewlett Packard Financial Services. He applies his diverse and extensive business experience to help clients successfully plan and grow their business.
Leo Chow is the Education Services Manager at Small Business BC. He has several years’ experience helping immigrants to develop relevant skills and integrate with their local community. Nathan is the VP of Operations for Small Business BC. With a passion for entrepreneurship, Nathan loves having the opportunity to help entrepreneurs bring their business visions to life. Through his seminar Nathan helps entrepreneurs to combine business theory and operational excellence to create practical solutions for their businesses, while leveraging technology to enhance decision making, productivity and capabilities.
Nicola Gardner is the Outreach Coordinator at Small Business BC. With over two years’ experience working on the front-line at a Business Advisor at Small Business BC, she now uses her experience with local entrepreneurs to help raise awareness of potential business opportunities with the Government of BC.
Richard has a broad range of experience in Operations, Sales & Logistics in Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Italy. A graduate of the Business Administration and Communications program at SFU.
Rory Beaupre is the Marketing and Events Specialist for Small Business BC. In addition to creating marketing campaigns and materials, Rory manages the events that Small Business BC hosts including INSPIRE and the Small Business BC Awards. While earning his BCom at UVic, Rory was actively involved in the Business Sustainability Club, and the Vikes’ Hockey and Ultimate Frisbee leagues.
